Uber Clone App Development company | Omninos Solutions

Developing a taxi app like Uber, according to others, is no longer a luxury. Really, it isn't, but only if you choose an Uber clone script with a few shared features!

The availability of an Uber clone script with some ground-breaking features is still a luxury, not because of the cost, but because it isn't available on the market. To save money and get their business up and running quickly, many entrepreneurs opt for simple taxi app growth, only to be disappointed by the low customer acquisition rate.

Since a few entrepreneurs prefer simple taxi apps, taxi app development companies aren't wasting time and money developing a special Uber clone script that provides ultimate convenience and user experience to both passengers and drivers.

Our Uber Clone script includes the following features:

These are the four unique features of the Uber native app that we have included in our Uber clone script.

Beacon by Uber

What exactly is it? & What is the significance of it?

In a crowded area, Uber Beacon allows a rider to locate his driver. Here's how to do it: Riders can choose any colour from the available 24-bit RGB colours from inside the app when booking the ride. This chosen colour is now sent to his matched driver's app, and the command is sent to an Uber Beacon' unit, which glows in the colour chosen by the rider, through Bluetooth on the driver's phone. Since the beacon system is mounted on the car's windscreen, a rider can clearly see it and recognise his driver.

» Convenience

Pick-up has always been difficult for both drivers and passengers, particularly when the pick-up location is near busy areas such as markets, stadiums, and event venues. Not only physical but also technical factors may influence the actualization of painless pick-up.

What is Coruscate's method for bringing it to life?

We reengineered the driver app to implement the Uber Beacon-like functionality into the Uber clone script because the driver app is more responsible for it than the rider app. We've written a separate piece of code to manage Bluetooth networking and communication between the driver and rider apps.

It's worth noting that hardware similar to the Uber Beacon, which should be fitted with Bluetooth technology, costs less than $20.

Trip cancellation focused on the driver and the passenger

What exactly is it?

Ride cancellation is very common, as are post-ride cancellation issues, especially those involving a cancellation charge. As a result, Uber has implemented a two-sided cancellation procedure to ensure that neither passengers or drivers are penalised for cancelling a bus.

» If a passenger cancels a journey

Uber recognises two distinct sub-scenarios when it comes to "trip cancellation from the rider's perspective." Uber does not charge a termination fee if the passenger cancels the ride within 5 minutes of booking it. However, if a passenger cancels the ride more than 5 minutes after requesting it and the driver is running late, the driver will be charged (which is by the way assured by the algorithms)

» Here's the trickiest part of the cancellation process:

If a driver arrives on time at the pick-up location but the passenger does not, the Uber app allows the driver to start a 5-minute countdown. During this time, the app sends the rider multiple updates and confirms whether or not a driver is present near the pick-up spot.

What is Coruscate's method for bringing it to life?

Needless to say, a well-written algorithm is critical to the entire cancellation process. Our trip cancellation algorithm is similar to that of Uber. It verifies the driver's position, notifies the passenger, charges a cancellation fee, and keeps track of the driver's cancellation rate and other relevant data.

Driver identification is instantaneous.

What exactly is it?

Both the Uber and UberEats apps have an instant driver identification feature that requires drivers to check their identity by taking a selfie inside the app. After every 2 to 4 online sessions, or if the app detects any suspicious user behaviour, the app will ask drivers to verify their identity.

» Convenience

Riders have identified a slew of fake Uber drivers operating under their friends' and relatives' Uber accounts. The situation became so bad that a few Uber drivers began selling their accounts to people who lacked the required paperwork to become Uber partners.

What is Coruscate's method for bringing it to life?

We used a well-written algorithm for this function as well, just like the other two. The big difference this time is that we used a machine learning algorithm to precisely align the driver's selfie with his profile photo.

Driver matching based on data

What exactly is it?

Many times, a driver who is just a few blocks away from the rider cannot pick him up quicker than a driver who is a little farther away due to a variety of factors. With Uber’s AI-based matching algorithm, Uber now does not give priority to the driver who is ‘nearest’, but to the driver who is ‘fastest’. Both drivers and riders benefit from this new matching algorithm because it saves them time.

When a rider requests a ride, Uber's matching algorithm considers factors such as weather, traffic, one-way streets, bridges, driver ratings, and cancellation rates to find the "right" driver who can pick up the rider in the shortest amount of time.

» Usability
